Confirmed: Canon EOS R3 to be Announced Soon

It is now confirmed by Nokishita that Canon will soon announce the development of the Canon EOS R3 mirrorless camera. We can say that the Canon EOS R3 could be one of the professional EOS R cameras at the EOS-1D X level that we have been waiting for.

In this case, the EOS R3 is a direct competitor of the Nikon Z 9. We expect Canon to announce the development of the Canon EOS R3 very soon, most likely in late April 2021. This announcement will probably include the three new RF lenses rumored a few days ago.

As already confirmed several days ago, Canon will announce  RF 100mm f/2.8 IS USM Macro, RF 400mm f/2.8L IS USM lens and RF 600mm f/4L IS USM lens in later this month.

Canon RF Lens Roadmap for 2021 & 2022

Here are the latest updates for Canon RF lenses. In this article you can find the RF series lenses expected to be released in the next two years. So this is the updated Canon RF Lens Roadmap for 2021 & 2022.

To date, Canon has offered great lenses for the RF mount and demonstrated how committed it is to a full frame mirrorless camera system.  Canon Rumors has combined all the latest rumors about RF mount lenses in a neat list. Below you can find the other Canon RF lenses that is expected to arrive in 2021. There will be a total 17 new RF lenses coming in 2021 and 2022, including “ground-breaking” TS-R autofocus tilt-shift lenses for the RF mount.

Canon EOS R5S with 100MP Sensor Coming in 2022

Along with upcoming Canon EOS R5C to be announced in this year, Canon is going to announce the long awaited EOS R5S in 2022. The Canon EOS R5S will feature with a 100MP full frame image sensor.

Canon EOS R5S will be the replacement of current EOS 5DS and EOS 5DS R, and expected have same design as EOS R5. The EOS R5S will be target for landscape and studio photographers.

Canon intends to enrich the EOS R series mirrorless system with both entry-level and high-end models. In addition to the aforementioned high-end EOS R1 and R5C cameras, it is stated that the new EOS R5S camera will also appear in 2022.

Confirmed : Canon EOS R5C to be Announced in late 2021

It is now confirmed that the Canon EOS R5C will be announced in late 2021. The release date of the EOS R system cinema camera  is expected in early 2022.

We actually have quite detailed information on the Canon EOS R5C. As you will notice, the “C” symbol in the name of the EOS R5C indicates that this camera will be intended for cinema, ie video shooters.

The Canon EOS R5C cinema camera is expected to have the same image sensor as the Canon EOS R5 (Amazon, B&H) and all of the same video features (8K30 Raw and 4K120 10-Bit Internal Video).

The Canon EOS R5C will have a slightly bigger body with the active cooling system, and it will remain a hybrid camera for stills shooting. The C-Log 2 is also adopted for the Canon EOS R5C.

Canon RF 300mm f/2.8L IS USM & RF 500mm f/4L IS USM Lenses Coming in Early 2022

Canon is rumored to release two more super-telephoto prime lenses in early 2022. These two lenses will be RF 300mm f/2.8L IS USM lens and RF 500mm f/4L IS USM lens.

The Canon RF 300mm f/2.8L and RF 500mm f/4L are said to be much lighter and shorter than their EF mount counterparts. In addition, Canon may actually release the RF mount version of the 300 f/2.8 as a zoom.

As already confirmed several days ago, Canon will announce RF 400mm f/2.8L IS USM lens and RF 600mm f/4L IS USM lens in later this month.

Canon RF 100mm f/2.8L IS USM Macro Lens Images

The first product images of the new Canon RF 100mm f/2.8L Macro IS USM lens have been leaked online. Check it out!

The announcement of the macro lens is about to happen this month and along with the other two telephoto lenses. This means Canon RF 100mm f/2.8L Macro IS USM Lens will be officially announced with the RF 400mm f/2.8L IS USM lens and RF 600mm f/4L IS USM lens later this month.
